Bologna declaration and new civil engineering studies

Abstract

The author describes significant changes that have been made at Croatian universities as a result of application of Bologna declaration which has traced the way towards a uniform European space in the sphere of higher learning. Reasons behind the adoption of this declaration are presented, and the effects the declaration has had on higher education in Croatia are given. Former civil engineering studies are presented and the structure of new lecturing programs introduced at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Zagreb is outlined.
