New Building Law

Abstract

Main novelties introduced by the new Building Law are presented in the introduction. The following issues are treated in more detail: procedures to be carried out prior to construction, novelties relating to persons influenced by the application of the Law, right of local authorities to participate as parties in the procedure for issuance of building permits in a given area, provisions relating to handicapped persons, etc. A special emphasis is placed on provisions introduced to enable harmonization of Croatian regulations with the corresponding regulations applied in the European Union.
